Recent refurbishments are clearly "next level," seamlessly blending modern elegance with the hotel's inherent charm. The environment, both indoors and out, was absolutely beautiful, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop. And the food? Absolutely "on point." Each meal was a culinary delight, a testament to exceptional quality and exquisite taste. "The accommodation is luxurious and beautiful. We certainly felt pampered and welcome. The special touches are numerous and the staff members are clearly trained to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Breakfast was extensive, served with a view of the lush garden which is filled with tropical plants and trees. Plants and greenery are found throughout the hotel which makes for a wonderful feel. The only minor issue was the non functioning TV, which they we aware of, but the technical support staff member was not available to attend to it during our stay. "

"Staff were excellent. Extremely helpful. Vegan menu options were very limited at breakfast. Dinner was slightly better. "

"Excellent! Our first floor room was spacious and well decorated with all ameneties including tea/coffee, fridge, beach towels etc. TV had Netflix etc. More St James than Kalk Bay but only 10mins walk to Kalk Bay. Breakfast was excluded but we just added and the choice was extensive. parking was available just around the corner. Only two comments which did not bother us was that the room had no air-con but was very cool. Overhead fan and open windows were fine. The only other comment its that the road is quite busy and the odd train passes by but we would still definitely return!"

"Lovely people making us feel so at home... Excellent chef Solomon - dinners were a 5 star event! Nice comfortable suite with pleasing gardens well cared for by gardener Nixon. Nothing was too much trouble for Lisa in reception and the lovely waitresses Ashley and Beauty "

"We had a great stay. The staff are wonderful. The view from our window was fantatic. We stayed 9 nights while visiting friends. Breakfast was also great. Lots of good restaurants around. We highly recommend it."
