I Borghi dell'Eremo

10/10 Excellent

"Absolutely Stunning! The grounds and rooms are first class! The staff is friendly and helpful in all aspects during the stay. Peaceful and serene is an understatement. Food and breakfast at the resort is top notch. Other dining options near the resort are amazing. Al Baciamano and Seven Cafe are great stops. Close enough to Tuscany day trips. Will definitely stay again and share with friends looking for a relaxing first class stay and amenities."

Farmhouse, private garden and fenced swimming pool on Tuscany-Umbria border

10/10 Excellent

"Our family recently enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at this beautifully restored 1908 Umbrian villa near Città della Pieve. The property perfectly combines authentic Italian character with modern comfort, featuring stunning beamed ceilings, traditional terracotta floors, tasteful furnishings, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The villa was immaculate, warm, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The private pool was a real highlight, offering complete peace and privacy as well as breathtaking views of rolling vineyards and the beautiful Umbrian hills that seem to stretch forever. The setting is idyllic. The nights were wonderfully silent, allowing us to completely unwind, and the clear skies revealed an incredible canopy of bright stars. It was the perfect place to relax and reconnect with family and this beautiful part of Italy..Despite its tranquil location, the villa is conveniently close to local services, shops, restaurants, and all that charming Città della Pievehas to offer. We ate at Da Laura Ristorante for a delicious and memorable first lunch. A special mention must go to our host, Georgio, who was exceptionally kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay, ensuring that everything was perfect. This villa is a true gem in the heart of Umbria, offering comfort, authenticity, privacy, and unforgettable scenery. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful Italian retreat and look forward to returning."

Luxurious & romantic Residence, designer interiors, heated pool & hot tub, views

10/10 Excellent

"If you’ve ever wanted to stay in a historic European hilltop village, here’s your chance. Stone buildings, narrow winding cobblestone streets. But the apartment is very thoroughly modernized, with a well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and even trendy furnishings. While the inside was fascinating, we spent most of our time on the balcony, which looked out on the Umbrian hillsides, complete with olive groves, vineyards, and fabulous sunsets. We were hospitable welcomed by Valeria, who prepared a welcoming meal on the first night and later taught us a cooking lesson for preparing a traditional Italian meal. If you are not coming with your own groceries, you may want to avail yourself of Valeria’s offer to stock the fridge, as it is a hike to the nearest grocery store. The village of Monteleone does have a cafe and 2 restaurants. One of them, “Seven”, was so good we want back for seconds a few days later. There are many nearby wineries to visit, some of which offer meals with paired wines. The nearby cities of Orvieto and Montepulciano are worth visiting fora dose of culture and history. Overall this was a comfortable, restful, satisfying stay."

"Peaceful, with everything you need. Pool was brilliant, lovely and clean. Location excellent for visiting highlights of Umbria and Tuscany. Margherita is super helpful and made everything very easy."

La Casella

8/10 Good

"We had a wonderful stay. Everything was excellent: the accommodations, the atmosphere, and especially the people, who were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The only issue was finding the property. To be fair, La Casella provided very clear directions and specifically advised us not to rely on GPS. Unfortunately, we decided to follow the GPS anyway and ended up lost on a very difficult road in the middle of nowhere. My advice to future guests: carefully follow the instructions provided by La Casella and do not rely solely on your GPS. If you do, your arrival will be much easier than ours! Other than that, our experience was fantastic, and we would gladly stay here again."
