"Friendly, clean and conveniently located. Breakfast was great and the owners were incredibly helpful. Really enjoyed my stay."

"Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr unhöflich. Auf unsere Nachfrage, ob wir früher frühstücken können, da wir das ja mitgebucht hatten, da wir zur Fähre mussten, wurde nicht eingegangen. Morgens beim Auschecken saßen aber schon Leute beim Essen. Das hätte man uns auch mal sagen können. Hotel sieht von außen wie ein Horrorhaus aus, von innen geht es. Unser Zimmer war eisig und alt. Für eine Nacht ging es."

"We were very lucky because both times we parked at the hotel, we got one of the 2 slots in front of the hotel, so we didn't have to try and find the additional parking lot, but the staff did give us a map to find it. Keep in mind that there is no lift, so depending on your floor you need to carry your bags up. The 23kg bag was not much fun to take up and then down 2 flights of stairs. "We were very pleasantly surprised to learn our 1 room family suite had 2 separate bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Only issues were that we only had 1 key which made it tricky every time we went separate places. Loved the skylights, was a bit stuffy but those helped. Loved the breakfast!"

"Great staff and location but my poor rating was because the mattress was extremely soft! Not good for one’s back and the lifts weren’t working."

"We were warmly welcomed by the staff on arrival and when they showed us up to the room we fell instantly in love with the sea view. The room was very clean and in good shape. What’s more, we ate in the restaurant and the food was fresh, locally sourced and also great value for money when compared to other local options."

"Comfortable rooms, great breakfasts"

"A beautiful place to stay when visiting Orkney. Ideal location to get to all the sights. Accommodation was perfect and Albert and Aileen couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!"

"Rue calme, mais près de tout. Nuit silencieuse. Consignes claires"
