Lake access, including the ability to launch small boats on site. Fishing and campfires are welcomed. Enjoy the peacefulness with a view of grazing horses on property. This is your authentic lake farmhouse destination. Away from all the chaos, but within minutes you can be in downtown Mt Dora or Eustis.

Another amazing stay here! This makes our 3rd visit and definitely not the last! The house is decorated so beautifully and is just so cozy. My husband loved the bass fishing in the lake. Thank you for opening up your paradise to us and our fur babies. Until next time!

The property fully met our expectations and placed us in an area of Florida that we had never experienced. Lake County has about 1100 lakes some of which are huge. The LC Water Authority has a dozen areas or more that are preserves for water quality and flora and fauna protection. Many trails are available to hike and birding was good in a couple of the preserves. We even saw a bear track, but not the bear that made it. The hosts were great and we found all the people we met to be friendly. I imagine this will become a repeat trip in the not to distant future.

It is a truly beautiful lake house with plenty of room. Not far from the city and all it's amenities. I lovingly recommend a visit to this piece of the quiet country living on the lake.

We had a very nice stay at the cottage. It was calm, relaxing and the hosts were accessible, communicative, and kind. We had a little bad luck with the weather but the hosts were very generous, helping to assure we enjoyed our time and felt safe. And our pooches loved it! We felt like we were in a tree house, it was splendid.

Absolutely beautiful home and setting. Peaceful and secluded. The lake at sunrise and the horses and cows on the property were icing on the cake. We were sorry to only be able to stay 2 nights for this trip. We will be back for a longer stay!

Redbird Cottage and farm is absolutely beautiful! My family had a wonderful time and definitely enjoyed the views of the lake. We also had a great time exploring the springs and parks around the area. We will be back!

Beautiful property, you honestly can not help but relax when you stay at Red Bird Cottage. There are porches surrounding the house with comfortable seating to watch the wildlife and view the lake. Kayaks waiting on the dock for lake exploring. Fire pit with wood ready to go and a gas grill. Plan on visits from Sandhill cranes and Osceola turkeys. The house is clean and truly charming. The hosts are very accommodating and seem to be sincere in their desire for you to enjoy your stay. The only downside is that you walk through the master bedroom to get to the second bedroom and the bathroom is in the master bedroom. I hope to bring my husband back for a couple weekend.

Wonderful stay and the property was in perfect condition. Having the pets along, let the experience be complete Wi-Fi on the property is stellar but GPS is a little suspect coming in. Lock in the address before you get out there. You will definitely enjoy it.

We came to the Redbird cottage for my husband’s birthday weekend. This is our favorite rental so far. The house was so clean with everything we needed for our stay. Sitting on the deck or dock in the morning or evening was a perfect way to spend our time. The owner handled a small problem quickly as soon as we spoke to him. Would love to return for another visit!

Property views were absolutely amazing and peaceful! I wish we had more time to enjoy during our 3 night stay. Property is nestled between equestrian farms right on a lake. The home is cozy and only critique would be the two bedrooms are connected by a slat type door so you don’t have a lot of privacy. The bathroom is in the master so the guest room must come through master to use. Coffee bar was a wonderful touch!! Deck area is expansive and looks right on the lake. Great fishing dock! Our teens loved it!

The pictures do not do this beautiful property justice! What an inviting, comfortable cabin you have created to share! Much of the stay was spent outside enjoying the peace and beauty of the lake. The screen room was a terrific spot to enjoy the sounds of the woods and the rain on Sunday morning. I look forward to coming back for a truly relaxing and nourishing visit! I cannot even say enough about how wonderful this place is! It was everything I imagined it would be but so much MORE! The owners have thought of absolutely everything! It is beautifully decorated and the views are amazing. We honestly cannot wait to get back here! I highly recommend staying here. A very special thank you to the owners for creating such a relaxing getaway space - that is pet friendly! Our fur babies were even in heaven! I wish we could give more than 5 stars. Cottage was great, just as advertised. Beautiful view of the lake out the sliding glass doors, and the deck and dock were both great places to relax. I imagine it would have been much more peaceful without the constant banging and beeping of the heavy machinery being used to clear the land next door from 8am-4pm every day, and the heavy smoke and ashes all over my car from the burning of the trees. I like a good campfire, but the smell was too much at times. Still gave it 5 stars because the actual rented property was great!

When I reserved property I emailed & stated we were going to have a group of friends for dine & unwind. Only 2 were going to stay over. Husband replied "let us know if you need anything". After dinner, owner wife came over vocally abrasive that we were having a party, too loud in a quiet neighborhood and parking on easement, of which NONE was true. We offered to leave, packed & cleaned, she then returned w/her mom and continued that she had video and was willing for us to stay & not report. We are a group of responsible, professional women who just wanted bbq & smores on a peaceful quiet lake, and the video will only prove her disrespectful behavior. If they had replied that they had a max allowed, I would have cancelled reservation.

A true step back in time (but with all the modern conveniences like a dishwasher, coffee maker, smart TVs, and wifi). 😊 Now I see why so many people flocked to Central Florida back in the day before modern tourism. Redbird Cottage is like paradise on Earth. No, not the tropical island kind of paradise they’ve hallmarked. Paradise as in the serene, pure, natural beauty of mother nature, away from the chaos and commotion of what the world become. A place to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the company of those around you. This house has everything you could think you need and then some. The perfect home away from home. Only better because it’s a lakefront cottage with a dock and a large deck and backyard. Great property for not a romantic getaway to celebrate with your significant other or bring the family and have a vacation home/property all to yourself with room enough for everyone! Go fishing from the dock, hang out around the campfire, make s’more on the gazebo in the fire pit, fire up the grill and have a BBQ on the deck. The possibilities are truly endless and we wish our stay could’ve been longer!! If you’re looking for location for a lakefront wedding, family celebration, etc. Then look no further cause Redbird Cottage is the location you want to book!!! Our group will definitely be rebooking Redbird Cottage in the future. NONE of us could get enough of the amazing views, peacefulness, & luxury level comfort that Redbird Cottage has to offer.
