In between we explored the land of St. Bernhard. Terence sent us a very good explanation by forhand about everything and housekeeper Nicole was also very quick with her respons (we had one question)."

"THIS IS A LITTLE GEM OF A PLACE, ITS GOT EVERYTHING YOU NEED LOADS OF ROOMS AND WELL EQUIPTED KITCHEN, WE ARRIVED IN A VAN WITH A MOTOBIKE ON THE TRAILER, THE ACCESS IS ON A DIRT TRACK TO THE HOUSE WHICH IS TIGHT, BUT ONCE PARKED UP THE BIKE WAS MODE OF TRANSPORT NO ISSUES, THE AREA IS STUNNING THERE ARE 2 HOUSES BEING BUILT TO THE REAR, BUT NO WORK WAS CARRIED OUT WHILE WE WAS THERE. "We have just returned from a great week, the chalet was great, nice and clean with everything you require for a stay. The kitchen is well equipped with spices and a few sauces sugar etc. Jacky was very helpful to us as he knows the local area really well, he gave us advice for buses up to the ski areas. We tended to jump the number 2 bus most days and the bus stop is just up from the school around the corner. We walked into town one day and that is straight forward didn't take long at all to...

"Le + : logement agréable, avec de nombreuses chambres permettant couchage et intimité de chacun. Une belle pièce commune avec grande table. Vue sur le Mont-Blanc lorsque le temps est dégagé. Le - : le sol et les salles d'eau étaient sales a l'arrivée. Le frigo également. Nous avons dû faire le ménage en arrivant. En cas de pluie et rafales de vent, les chambres du haut sont plus exposées au bruit."

The views are great driving can be a bit challenging, climbing the mountain but we are happy that we had a car as this small town had only very few stores. The house is nice and clean but not big. We used 4 spacious bedrooms and there was a large loft as well with 10 single mattresses which we didn't use. You have to drive 12km up in the mountains on a very well maintained bandy road with beautiful views and through few tunnels.
