Castle Hotel Windsor

"The property was unusual but very nice. Made up of several buildings. Newly renovated and beautiful. Lovely restaurant where we had breakfast. The people were so very nice. The bathroom is lovely but needs grab bars as the tub is very deep. I slipped and fell. I’m in good shape so I managed to not hit the tub edge too hard but others might not be so lucky. The rooms have nice coffee/tea set ups and water, soft drinks and biscuits. I like those little extras. It makes the stay so very special. We’re already talking about coming back. It is in a perfect location for seeing the castle, eating out and shopping."

"We had such a lovely time staying in this property in Eton! The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the area! The host was incredible! She communicated everything we needed to know in a very timely manner and answered all of our questions quickly. The flat was very clean, and the layout of the place made for a pleasant stay! Parking was very convenient too. We wish we had been able to stay longer! :-D"

"I had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Windsor. The location is fantastic—very central, just a 3-minute walk from the station and around 5 minutes from the castle. The hotel is beautifully situated by the river, and the views are absolutely fantastic. Everything was very clean and well maintained. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and there was lovely natural light during the day. All the amenities were also in excellent condition. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection including a traditional English breakfast, fruit, cereals, bread and pastries. However, the highlight for me was the restaurant and terrace. The view from inside the restaurant overlooking the river was amazing. I also enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea while looking out at the river, which was such a relaxing and memorable experience. I especially loved the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views and the opportunity to simply sit and enjoy the surroundings. It was incredibly relaxing. Thank you to the hotel and all the staff for the amazing hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and, if I ever visit Windsor again, I would definitely stay here again!"

"This hotel was excellent. Perfect location to see and visit Windsor Castle. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We parked the car on site it cost £40 for the night, a bit pricey but we knew it was safe and out of the blazing sun. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Would definitely stay there again"

"Our room was spacious with a great view of Windsor Castle. We arrived early but our room was ready and we checked in about 1:00 PM. The location is in the heart of Windsor, a short walk to shopping, dining, the Thames and of course Windsor Castle. I do wish there was better air conditioning, this seems to be an issue in England, other hotels on our trip had the same problem. Overall I'd recommend the Harte and Garter and would stay there again."

"The house was very clean and a great location! We appreciated the provided fans throughout the house. Bathroom was well kept with shower toiletries available. We had to reach out to the host on the day of check in for access codes. We had to search for the Wifi information when there was no response for days from the host. Parking is not included, but there is a paid lot nearby. Since we stayed during the hot summer, the smells from trash were hard to tolerate. Overall, we would stay here again, but not in the summer. It was too hot in the house without opening the windows, which were only on the front of the house and let the putrid smells in."

"A few hiccups with the check-in- but it was very quickly resolved, and communication with the owner was great. The apartment was in a great position and even though it was overlooking the Weatherspoons terrace, it did not disturb our nights sleep at all. The apartment had pretty much all you need, and it is very central. Parking was great. So may decent cafe's and restaurants in the vicinity, we will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to stop at Cavendish house again."
