"One of three self catering properties located in a private banana plantation.Very peaceful at night and yet only a few hundred yards from Reids Palace.The property is very well equipped with separate lounge , bedroom (very comfortable bed) , bathroom and kitchen / diner.The kitchen has a balcony overlooking the banana trees and there are views to the bay from the bedroom and lounge. You also have shared use of a very nice swimming pool which I would imagine to be a huge bonus in the summer...

"The house was lovely and clean and well presented in a lovely garden setting. The pool was incredibly clean and sun loungers and towels provided. nice communal spaces for BBQ and eating outside. Enough on site parking in a secured garden area. Kitchen could benefit from some baking trays and a toaster, but everything else was provided. You do need a car or use taxis as its a long steep road up from Calheta itself and the beaches. The manager was so helpful and great at communicating with us and...

"The garden was lovely with a nice secluded spot for sunbathing. The house was nice. The balcony having lovely views over towards the sea. The locals are very friendly. However the house was a little dusty and there could be more attention to the cleaning in the bedroom. The washing machine was not working which was more of an inconvenience."

"Great apartment with everything you need. Leontina, the owner, is very friendly. The terrace has fabulous views and great for eating breakfast or a glass of wine. Ponta da Sol is a short drive and a nice little town with cafes and restaurants. The location is a great base for exploring the island. The drive up the hill is steep and twisty (but not narrow) but if you are intending to drive in Madeira that is something you have to accept. It is worth it!"

"Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt in diesem Häuschen, schöner Blick vom Hügel hinab. Auch im Sommer hatten wir angenehme Temperaturen. Das haus selbst ist nett eingerichtet. Die Anfahrt ist etwas herausfordernd da es doch weit oben auf einem steilen Hügel steht, aber ist das erst mal geschafft erwartet einen ein nettes Häuschen."
