"The staff at checkin and the bartender were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is near our granddaughters place and we also enjoyed walking across the street and having a great meal at Jake’s Grill."

"I travel to Portland frequently for work and have been systematically trying hotels in downtown Portland. Hotel Heathman is my favorite so far! The building is beautiful & convenient to the office I visit as well as numerous restaurants & shops. My room was comfortable & clean. I was disappointed that I didn’t receive daily housekeeping though— I would expect that from a hotel of this caliber. I typically keep my room neat, & I’m fine using towels for multiple days, but I used the French press for coffee & was unsure how to dispose of the grounds for use the next day. Plus, I ordered room service for breakfast one morning & no one ever picked up the tray. These issues are not deal breakers weighed in the balance of my overall good experience, though. I will stay there again."

"WONDERFUL staff and LUXURIOUS accommodations make The Benson a MUST stay in downtown Portland. Palm Court Restaurant & Bar was a favorite for its food and friendly service. Despite not having bell service available (still scratching my head on that one), The Benson's sheer beauty and accommodating staff certainly make up for that lack of service. The location, while convenient, does provide cause for pause as there is boarded up property, graffiti, and some homeless nearby."

"My stay has been very good. I appreciate the kitchen items including a large refrigerator, microwave, and dishwashing since I cooked dinner on the cooktop one night. It’s a great location if you are going to the Portland University hospital buildings since it is a 10 minute walk from the Aerial Tram Although as a view from my balcony"

"The parking is convenient. I like the design of the Lobby and the room. Especially the TV is big and easy to see the movies and shows. There was a lady at the front desk who was nice and cute~ I would like to come back to this hotel for my next trip."
