"I felt compelled to write a review, because the host, Irma, was so exceptional. She knew that we were coming in without a car, being dropped off by Taxi, very late in the evening, and it will be difficult for us to get any food that evening and for breakfast the next morning. So she happily offered to go to the grocery store and buy some food for us and put it in the fridge. Wow. Also, each day we would get fresh eggs from her farm, and fresh baby tomatoes. So delicious. "Excellent place to stay overnight before we headed over to La Fortuna next morning. Edward picked us up from the airport, we used his rental car service and dropped us off to the airport. Breakfast was yummy and we can't thank Edward and Familia enough for their hospitality."

"For our second week in Costa Rica, we chose this home in Atenas. The photos do not do it justice- it is such a wonderful and relaxing retreat. The private pool and outdoor shower allowed a connection no nature. Hammock and hanging chairs, lush landscaping, toucans…. Just too much to mention. We will return to this special place. Lizz did massages on the breezeway our last day to the sound of rain and the birds. Communication was excellent."
