"Great apartment with (2) comfortable bedrooms but only (1) bathroom; and large patio with ample seating and privacy with panoramic city views. The host provides ample supplies for cooking and laundry and there are sufficient towels and comfortable bedding. All in all we would recommend this property and would return. The best was the hidden courtyard with parking- a rare commodity in the Old City. Just be prepared to carry your bags to the 3rd floor, there is no elevator."

"Nelson was amazing.. he greeted us and explained the area with best places to visit. He was so kind and brought us delicious pastel de natas!! I highly recommend the Roots apartments, they are immaculate and gave everything you need! "

"The apartment was spacious, nicely decorated. I liked all the houseplants and the water view. Conveniently close to the train station. Found the surrounding area to be a little suspect, the building itself to be very old and the entry way dark. The apartment was withing walking distance to the town center and marina. Owner was very responsive to questions."

"This large and cozy apartment was a very comfortable and quiet place to relax after long days in the warm Algarve sun. Every amenity was included and there were three grocery chains nearby within walking distance. Arriving very late after a flight delay we were greeted by Helena's mother who ensured we found everything to our liking before retiring to her apartment downstairs. "A very welcoming, basic but quaint (has all you'll need for a night or 2) easy place to stay, before flying home from Faro. An easy 10 min walk from the airport with a supermarket pretty much next door. The hotel has friendly, helpful staff and the double room was decent and clean, with a clean bathroom and good shower and a balcony. It even has a pool! Recommended! "

"Great stay with the family at the property, there was some confusion when checking in over the room type booked as we booked with sea view and was initially allocated Marina view which required me to present the confirmation of the booking however following this it was soon resolved. Hotel communal areas well kept and updated, room felt a little bit dated. Nice touches for the children with the Pluma gift sets which is well received. Couple of issues when collecting towels from the towel hut even after handing in 5 towel cards I was challenged on my room being for 2 however had just justify that it was 2 adults and 3 children, then given towels with no apologies. Location is perfect for marina and beach access. One thing to note would be that there is rear access to the beach area however after a certain time even with your access card it will not open and you are then required to walk right around to the marina entrance, this is not ideal when you are travelling with 3 toddlers."
