This motel was very clean, especially the bathroom. The beds were not comfy, pillows were lacking, and the wiring for the coffee maker/microwave was sketchy. Also, the TV remote didn't work and had to be replaced. Then, the TV just shut off and wouldn't come back on as we were getting ready to leave.

The staff is absolutely amazing, rooms well maintained, an ideal location, and an almost non-existent noise level all while being priced at an affordable price. I would highly recommend checking out the Steelhead Inn for anyone looking to visit the Erie area.

The motel is a nice, quiet place close to the Peninsula, which was why we chose it! The staff was outstanding. It was decent in cleanliness. Room features all worked including air! And it was very affordable!! Great deal for the price!!

This was very nice and clean motel. It would be great for an overnight stop, or short duration casual visit. I had other expectations, and that is my problem not theirs.

The bed was comfortable. The location was convenient. It was an old-fashioned motel that still used an actual key for the door. The room and bathroom were also old-fashioned. It was comfortable for the one night I was there.

It’s simple and nice , the bed was super comfy and the heater heated up the room almost instantly . A little tlc would step the place up some, the dresser drawers were rough and sitting crooked, the trim pin the bathroom was poorly put together,

This place wasn't that bad. People have to understand that this isn't a massive chain hotel. It's a motel. It worked amazing and it was in a perfect location. Staff was super friendly and plenty of parking. Sure the room and bathroom were a little smaller, but the AC worked amazing and it was so convenient to everything that Erie has to offer. I would definitely stay again.

No coffee maker in the room even though there were coffee cups and coffee provided. Saw bugs in bathroom. Air conditioner very loud and old. Comfy bed. Neighbor's child came in our room when one of us stepped outside to car.

Paid 380$ for 1 night even with vacancies, looked again it was 59$ for 1 night. Price gouged for the eclipse. Sink was clogged, cable cord was missing. Sheets had black stains on them. Sound of slow dripping water all night. Mattresses were probably 20 years old along with comforters. Staff was friendly and engaging. Needs major renovations. Great location

First things first I have worked in hospitality so i am a very picky person when it comes to hotels/motels. When we arrived we were early and we were told we cold look at the room but it wasnt finished yet. We noticed a whole bed set was missing from the room. They gave us another room but the floors were covered in dirt, the coffee maker was used and never cleaned after previous guests. The air conditioner when turned on left a FOUL ODOR to the point of making me nauseous! We checked out at 5am to find a better room for our last night in Erie. I reccommend lake breeze its very clean, no foul odors, and excellent rates!

Stuck with this as Erie motels set high rates for the weekend. Still came in over $100. Every thing in the room was old and threadbare. Didn’t use old room air condition for fear of getting Legionaire’s disease. I did get a good night’s sleep however and the tv was small but worked. Bathroom was cramped and didn’t use shower. New plumbing fixtures were need as well as new carpeting in room.

Baby Cockroach Bed

The front desk attendant was nice, the room was fine. We just needed a place to stay for the night. The biggest issue is that when we went to bed, we found a dead baby cockroach on the top sheet. I went to the front office, but it was late so they were closed. I snapped a picture of it and we threw it away and went to bed because it was late. I attempted to go talk to someone in the office at 11am, but no one was there. The office hours said they started at 11am. They had a number to call for assistance, when I called no one answered. Check out time was 11, so I ended up just putting my key through the drop slot and was never able to actually speak to anyone about the bug in our bed.

The first time that we stayed here, it was good. The room was stocked and clean and check in was a breeze. The second time, we had people screaming and cussing each other out in the parking lot in the middle of the night. The TV in the room that we were in didnt work and they said that they would fix it but never did. We had to ask for towels multiple times and the dirty sheets from the prior guests were still on the floor in the room. The following week we came up again and a friend of ours got the same room as we had for the second trip and complained of people screaming at each other and fighting in the middle of the night. The TV was also still not fixed. Our room was better that trip so we gave it one more go this past weekend. The room was dirty. The sheets had hair all over them, the pillows had hair and spots (orange/brown blood like color) on them, there were medical tape chunks on the inside of the bathroom door frame with what looks like blood under them. There was no remote for the AC/fan/heating unit so we had to get a step stool from our vehicle to turn the heat on. We stayed here because we needed a place to sleep and shower and that was pretty much it. We leave the room before light to fish and dont return until well after dark so we don't need anything fancy but this time was enough. We will be finding somewhere else from now on. I don't like to be the person to leave negative reviews but some things are just too much to ignore.
