"The staff was amazing but the one drawback was the location. It was hard to get to by foot from the train station- almost off the beaten track. It looks like it’s right next door on the map but you have to go all the way around and across a boulevard. A car would’ve made a big difference."

"This hotel is within walking distance to the train station. With that being said it was very convenient for us as we were only staying one night but the location is not in the best area. It felt fine during the day but I don’t believe I’d want to walk around there at night. It was close to the bus stop to get a bus into central Verona which was easy. The room itself was small but the bathroom was a good size and there were plenty of drawers and a closet for storage. The AC wasn’t great and while two of the beds were a foam mattress and were comfy the third was springs and not comfy at all. Overall for one night it was ok but likely wouldn’t choose this hotel again if visiting Verona."

Du Lac et Du Parc Grand Resort

"The room was spacious and clean. Loved the huge balcony and being able to shut the windows so we could sleep in. The gardens that surround the resort are gorgeous and full of small wildlife we loved to see each day. The restaurants have great food and friendly staff. There is a grocery store and lots of shopping nearby which was super helpful. You can walk to both. We also loved the “pillow menu.” First time I’ve ever seen that in a resort! The scenery driving to and surrounding the resort is too beautiful to even put into words! Will definitely visit this resort again!"

Hotel Meandro - Lake View

"Just arrived home from the most amazing trip away to Hotel Meandro. Everything from the arrival, to staff, the room and food was perfect and of course the wonderful view from the room and the Sky Terrace was breathtaking. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We arrived late in the evening after some delays and they made sure we had easy instructions for a self check in. Breakfast was a real highlight of the trip - lovely food and the most attentive and friendly staff who our baby looked forward to seeing every morning. The hotel is in a perfect location to visit nearby villages and there is a lovely little beach about 200m downhill which offers swimming, water sports and a couple of beach bars/restaurants. Hands down the best trip we have ever been on. It’s worth booking a car parking space if you have hired a car as parking can be slightly tight around the hotel itself. Tignale is a lovely spot to visit with beautiful panoramic views over the lake and mountains and a handful of cute restaurants and ice cream parlours which are really reasonably priced. We were so grateful for the complimentary bottled water on arrival and departure as nipping to a shop with an 8 month old wasn’t always the easiest thing in the heat. The indoor swimming pool was such a great additional facility with a little garden by the side for lounging around. The only reason for the 4 stars on facilities was due to our aircon being a little ropey - it worked okay but think it was due a service."
