"Our hosts, Maria Eugenia and Jose, were amazing! Kind, informative, generous, helpful, I can't say enough about them. We stayed for four days, two couples in the larger home. It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time...

"Fatima welcomed and attended to us as if we were family. Deonilde delivered fresh bread in the morning and did our laundry. The view was spectacular, especially poolside. Well equipped kitchen, two modern bathrooms and yes, the Wifi works! Other than the first night dinner out, we enjoyed eating on the lovely terrace."

My only caution is that driving in the area is not for the faint of heart. Also, people with mobility issues should avoid the house as there are many stairs and uneven steps going into the property. "The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We were 8 adults two children and one small dog in total. While on the ground floor the common area suited the group well, everyone couple/family had its own room and space upstairs. The garden is great and has an awesome view to a small vineyard and corn plantation. As the house is fenced, the dog and the children could freely play without further concerns.
