  • Welcome to Stump Pass Place on Manasota Key. A perfect mix of comfort, nature and unmatched amenities. Just a 3 minute walk to our neighborhood beach or a just 4 minute walk to Stump Pass State Park at the end of our street. Here you can go to the beach, launch the water toys, and making lifelong memories. Stump Pass State Park has one of the most beautiful pristine beaches in all of Florida!

    Located on the southern tip of Manasota Key, we enjoy offering couples and family's a wonderful value added vacation and a great guest experience as well. Make sure to take full advantage of our FREE Kayaks, Sups, beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, coolers and much more!

    NO ferries or water taxi needed. Just drive over the bridge to our island and enjoy your freedom and spontaneity.

    Lush tropical landscaping will lead you to your suite. Enter the open floor plan, living room, dining area and fully stocked kitchen. Cook, dine, or relax in your own back yard patio. This area is truly a tropical paradise complete with Weber grill, commercial grade outdoor table, chairs, chaise lounges, lush landscaping and soft night lighting. Don't forget to experience showering in our custom made outdoor showers. There's just nothing like showering outside under they blue sky and tropical palm trees.

    The wildlife here is amazing! You will see pelicans diving for fish, osprey in tree tops, and herons on the beach. Dolphins and manatee are always swimming the shoreline and sea turtles choose this paradise to lay their eggs. Don't forget to bring your camera! Also make sure to look down in the sand. Prehistoric shark teeth and beautiful shells are never hard to find and are abundant on the beaches of the Key. Go shelling then return home to rinse your souvenirs in our custom made Shell Cleaning Station.

    Bring your friends and family! There are four other individual suites on site and two other duplexes right next door "The Highview" and "The Pool House".

    Our community pool is located just ten minutes from the house inside the Ann & Chuck Dever Regional park, 7001 San Casa Dr Englewood34223. Phone number 941-683-3743. The cost is $3 a day per person. For a pool on site see our VRBO listing numbers 2115647, 2117585 and 2116971.

    Remember, bikes, kayaks, Stand up paddle boards and so much more are located on site and included with your rental! No additional fees or charges! Have fun on us!

Outstanding place a short walk to beach. Had everything you needed beach cart coolers and chairs. Kitchen stocked with the best pans and dishes. Bed was cozy to perfection. Kindest owners communicated so promptly and helpful. I think this is the most modern and cleanest beach place I have ever stayed at and affordable. Looking to book next summer. So many choices to stay with this owner. Thank you for everything

The property was clean and well-kept. We had access to bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, beach wagons, kayaks, and SUP’s. The beach was a short walk away. There was also a private parking space for each rental. The property is a short walk from restaurants and night life too. An exceptional price for an excellent getaway! My wife and I would return in a heartbeat!

Loved our recent stay! From the second we walked in the door, the decor was so nice and it was immaculate. It reminded us of the last house we rented that was destroyed by Hurricane Milton. Although this is not beachfront, it is just a short walk and you are there. We loved the convenience of the outdoor showers, laundry, bikes, kayaks, coolers, umbrellas, beach chairs and beach wagon. Highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful location

Very nice property, clean and well appointed. Very convenient access to Stump Pass park which is the highlight of the area. Also convenient to great food and entertainment.

Perfect location and walk to the beach!

We loved Stump Pass Place! Beautifully decorated and everything we needed for a perfect week on the beach was provided. We will definitely be back to this relaxed beach community and rental!

This met our needs perfectly. Cute cottage feel, clean and comfortable. Loved the private out door space. Very well maintained property. I would rent again!

Small, quaint stay, close to a nice uncrowded beach with lots of good walking and fishing. Good proximity to food. No shampoo, conditioner or body wash. We were only provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper for a 4-day stay. Not even salt/pepper. No hot water kettle. No dishwasher, so eating off dishes someone else hand washed. We were asked to do our laundry and do the dishes before we left, which seems a stretch.

Nice place & great communication.

Super clean, cozy place with nice outdoor space for each unit in the buliding. Owners were fantastic at communicating starting well before my arrival. Met owners and they were super kind and friendly. Would rent again.

FREE Beach Supplies

We loved our stay! The property was clean and quiet. We enjoyed using the free bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. Having the beach chairs, umbrellas, wagon, coolers and towel was amazing! We will definitely return.

Stump Pass

Great short escape from winter. Perfect place for us. Close to beach and Stump Pass park. Used the bikes and the kayaks. Wish could have stayed longer.

The pool is a private pool only for the guests that book that suite 7 or 8. A bit misleading on line. The host also asks you to wash your towels but there is not a washer and drying in the unit. Lots of great lights outside for. security but it makes it hard to sleep at night. Unit is decorated nicely, everything we needed for our stay. Beach supplies , wagon, umbrellas, etc. very very nice!

The communications prior to arrival was excellent. We had unit 2 which looked as if we were the 1st to ever stay in it. Everything was spotless and unit was well equipped. The proximity to Stump Pass was a short walk for us loaded down in the beach wagon with everything else they provided. Wagons, bikes, kayaks, beachchairs, coolers and paddleboards were all there for our use. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who enjoys quite and Stump Pass.

Great place to stay in a spectacular area

It's a very clean place, nicely decorated, with all the kitchen equipment you could need. We enjoyed the private patio out back, with beautiful plants and many visiting birds. We used all the available equipment, including the kayaks and bikes and were very happy with the quality of everything. The whole area is just beautiful. We loved being so close to the park's gorgeous beach. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

Manasota Key 2025

Peter was an excellent host! The property which we initially booked sustained hurricane damage, so Peter upgraded us to a nicer, larger apartment on the 2nd floor of the Highview for the same price. The amenities (bikes, kayaks, beach chairs, etc.) are fantastic and the apartment was beautiful, spacious, clean, and had an amazing view. We'll definitely come back!

Great location for families

First time staying and it was great. It was a bit loud and rowdy as the family beside us had 4 kids who used the showers outside our room as the kids shower. Great amenities and clean and quiet. Best sleep thanks to the window air units. Would have liked to have more towels and amenities like toiletries/sunscreens like we have had at other places. The shell and toe clean station was a great bonus addition! Overall good stay! Thanks!

Perfect!

We loved this place, it was perfect. I don’t know Peter and Mary Jo, because we had no reason to contact them. They thought of every little thing, all the comforts in the unit, all the extras in the shed for going to the beach and elsewhere. The beach was around the corner and we went there every day. Everything worked, and everything in the description is true and not overblown. Thank you Peter and Mary Jo for making our stay so enjoyable!

Our suite looked better than the photos! This property is maintained extremely well for a beachside property! The salty air can really do a lot of damage, but you won't see it at Stump Pass Place. Here you can walk to one of the prettiest beaches in Florida. Stump Pass Place has everything you could want to have fun in the sun. We kayaked, swam, biked, hiked, went shelling, and cooked all our meals in the well-stocked kitchen. We had an amazing private patio with a grill. Plus, this property is close to everything else you might want to check out. A great farmers market on Thursdays & Fridays, the only Warm Springs swimming hole in Florida is a short drive away. Horseback riding at Bit of Hope Ranch, in which Susan will take you through the real old Florida back trails. There are many free concerts throughout the week in the historic area. There are also hiking trails through many preserves. Not to mention the classic dolphin boat rides, parasailing, boat rentals, and all the other activities that you can imagine close to the water. We will be back! Thank you for a wonderful place!
