"Everything very nice, lovely ambiance"

"clean and spacious room."

"The pool is shared with a gym and for folks who are from the US you need a swim cap. The desk staff was perfectly helpful but there is no information about amenities in the room and they don’t provide any info about what you can do in the hotel. The front desk ladies all seemed brand new to the job though. Room was nice though."

"Really had a very comfortable stay. Room was comfy and a good size. The staff were incredibly helpful and the hotel passed my 'plumbing test'. The shower was fantastic."

"Wonderful stay at Silken Thomas. Highly recommend. Fabulous rooms only bettered by the wonderful staff. Food great in restaurant also and close to shopping village."

"I had an okay stay. The location of the apartment back behind the main building was unexpected. Not bad. But walking outside to get to the bar or back around the bar to get to my car was something I would have preferred being more aware of ahead of time. The TV didn’t work properly (sound but no picture) and the WiFi didn’t reach the room, so I had to walk down the dark alleyway to the bar to use the WiFi - it was to late in the day during a one night stay to try contact anyone to fix these...

"Lovely comfortable spacious and clean room. Friendly, helpful staff. Very tasty spread for breakfast. Plenty of parking even with a wedding on site too."

"We had a lovely stay at Firecastle. Kildare is a magical area with lots to do and see in walking distance. The room we stayed in was beautiful and well appointed, breakfast was delicious and the staff were all really nice. I highly recommend Firecastle."

"Kilkea Castle was a wonderful stay. Last minute we booked a room in the Lodges; unfortunately, the actual Castle was all booked up. This didn’t lessen the experience though. The lodge room was clean, comfortable, well-appointed and had a fairway view. We were also able to use the facilities in the castle itself. We weren’t there to golf and that was just as well as the course was closed for maintenance. As a golfer the course did look like a premium course, and I’d love to go back for...

"We lived the quietness and the fireplace for reading."

"Very simple and pleasant place to stay. Our room and the whole facility we saw were impeccably clean. Beds were comfy. Room was comfortably warm (even tho it was howling outside with freezing rain pelting down in sheets!). We would stay here again happily. Additional note: I suspect Tullamore is overlooked as a town to stay and explore. It’s a cool *old* town that retains its character. Blue Eyes Bakery became a favorite spot for us. Excellent food/pastries. And absolutely *superb* coffee!"

"The property was clean and tidy and presentable when we arrived, with a welcome hamper which was very nice. However upon inspecting hamper I noticed that it had been chewed which rang alarm bells, it was only through the night that we discovered mice . We told the host and were give mouse traps to use. Mouse droppings obviously in abundance throughout property. In a week of staying 5 mice were captured. I would not recommend and would not stay again."

"This is a great place to get away. The hosts are amazing! Great shops within 20min and a beautiful property. If going far, take a taxi to the train station, taxis are very expensive."

"The Abraham was a comfortable stay in a self-contained farm cottage. It had everything we needed from a comfortable bed, a good shower, warm heater and washing machine. Sean was a very friendly and helpful landlord with plenty of helpful advice about dinner options and local sites. We had a wonderfully quiet couple of days. "
