"The bathroom toilet was very noisy when flashing. It needs to be replaced. The room was not 100% clean. "

"We had a marvellous time at Caracal Lodge. It was a wonderful away from it all experience. Magtree Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped even though there is no electricity, power being supplied by gas appliances, paraffin lamps and LED lighting. It was magical to wake up with views of the resident giraffe family as well as zebra, impala, horses and a pet pig! Outside there was a braai, fire pit in a lovely shaded area and a small pond. Exploring the 300 hectare game park there...

"Incredible place. We were looked after very well by all staff. We had a fantastic stay. Food is lovely. It's just a chill out place ... one with nature. A must visit when you are travelling to or/and from Kruger National Park. All being well, we shall return."

Sue and Belinda went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, from catering to a (sort of) vegetarian, to extra blankets for a nippy night. "Property staff Michael & Joyce was amazing. Service was excellent. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night which was outstanding. The only issues we had was that we booked breakfast included rate only to be told by the hotel that our booking does not include breakfast. We booked a superior room with a bath due to the fact that I had a back op, the images and information on the website showed the superior room with a bath and shower. We were told the superior room comes without a bath. "

Magical getaway, less than 3 hrs from Jhb!

"We had a fantastic stay, host was super friendly and helpful, on call, cottages was newly furnished, had all the basics, limited Wifi, but enough for emails and Watsapps, could watch rugby at the restaurant, meals there upon request, emergency lighting around the premises during load shedding but not in the unit so take your torches, breath taking walks and river views, enough stunning swimming spots along the multiple pristine river crossings along the way for the hot summer day walks in the cool drinkable river water, and for our old doggies first outing, the residents dogs were fantastic and welcoming and friendly and they and our normal kids just loved the venue. Keep up the good work guys!"
