"Amazing place to stay. Within walking distance to the old town, a lot of food and shopping street nearby. The two bedroom arrangement was perfect for my family of 6. The rooftop common area was a nice touch if you would feel crowded in the room, but the overall space felt very homey. You can also refill your own water bottle. "We had a wonderful stay at The Lapis Hotel. The room and facilities were immaculately clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had a very early 4:00 AM checkout, and they still prepared breakfast for us to take away, which was a really thoughtful touch. Everything about the experience felt professional and warm. "Hotel is extremely upscale and worked for us really well. Rooms were comfortable and amenities were great. Breakfast included so that was a major extra plus. AC didn’t work in our room initially but they gave us a new room so it was okay. Overall good stay"
"Overall it was comfortable and clean. The location is great. The staff are helpful. The only thing not so good is the walls are thin and can hear the neighbours talking on the phone and children crying. There was also noise from the water pipes when guest from other rooms are taking showers or flushing toilets. "

"We recently stayed at Grand Hotel du Lac Hanoi, and it was such a memorable experience from start to finish. The front desk team and manager were incredibly professional, warm, and welcoming during our stay.
One of the highlights of our stay was the fantastic service from the breakfast team who were so attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Dinner at Ding Doong was equally impressive. Both the food and service exceeded our expectations, creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
The location of the hotel is ideal as it is right in the heart of Hanoi, yet in a calmer pocket where it’s much easier to cross the roads (a huge plus if you’ve been to Hanoi before!). It’s close to everything, but you still get a sense of calm and comfort when you return at the end of the day.
As we checked out, we were surprised with a thoughtful parting gift, which left such a positive final impression. It’s the kind of personal touch that really makes a difference."

"A really beautiful boutique hotel set in a convenient location in the historic old quarter. The room was not large but we received an upgrade with a balcony. What stood out about the hotel is the tasteful and beautiful Vietnamese decor and the service which is top notch. The staff could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The following day we soaked up Hanoi and Somerset couldn't be better located. Amazing food stalls, world class coffee and historic sites all within walking distance.
