"The property was in a generally good state of repair and presentation, with the only area in need of attention being the shower cubicle . The dining area in the kitchen was tight for four adults. However, most things are provided and to a good standard. The garden room was a nice bonus and the off road parking was necessary as the road was quite narrow. Fabulous stay in a fantastic hotel

"Booked a 3 night stay for my partners birthday and we had a great time. Bar staff particularly stood out for their professionalism and friendliness. Hotel is fabulous and in a superb location. Bar prices were cheaper than most of the pubs in Bowness so we drank in the hotel after we had been out for a meal. We were blessed with fabulous weather so having drinks on the terrace overlooking the lake was a very picturesque experience."

"The hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. The staff are excellent, particularly in the FYR restaurant: friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is equally impressive and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. "
