The Falstaff Hotel

"We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in an ideal position next to the old town. All of the staff were friendly, professional and made us feel very welcome. The building is lovely, old and quirky. We stayed in one of the luxury rooms with a standalone bath in the main bedroom (as well as a separate shower room). Nice room, although we felt that the bath was unnecessary as it took up far too much room, making it a little cramped. It also meant that the TV had to be situated at a tight right angle to the bed and seating area. Refreshments in the room were replenished daily and the room was cleaned to a high standard. Parking was plentiful on sight, but I did think it was a bit steep to pay £15 per night via Ringo. This meant a further £45 cost to our 3 night stay. I guess that is sadly becoming the norm with city breaks. We would however stay again due to the friendliness of staff and location to the town."

"Annoying humming noise in room constantly. Not sure if it was the heating (that I couldn’t see anywhere) or something outside the room. Other than that, everything I needed. Was late for breakfast and so they gave me a take out box which was really good."

"Staff could not have been more attentive and nothing was too much to ask for. Didn't think service like that still existed, it was truly amazing the amount of effort put in by them to make our stay a really great experience. Food was excellent, the room was spotless. Will definitely stay again in the future. Thank you everyone."
