"it was ok. i ordered a non smoking room but last guest definitely had smoked in it. couch smelled like a cigarette and a cigarette butt lying on the floor by the couch when i arrived"

"We were looking forward to staying at The Edlin House, and it lived up to our expectations--and then some! But we have to agree with others who have stayed there that it needs a new sofa! The cushions are smashed beyond comfort, and they are not the kind that you can flip from one end of the sofa ..."

"The hotel room was tidy and well stocked with everything needed. The bathtub had a little bit of dark markings at the bottom of it, probably indicative of just an older bathroom in need of an upgrade. The pool seemed a little murky too but overall it was fine for a one night stay."

Ellisville is a small town about 20 minutes north of Hattiesburg. Very little congestion during the trip so it is a feasible place to stay if you're looking for something nice just a little outside of Hattiesburg. I would call it a rural setting.
