"The only problem I had was the check in process. I believe this is a VRBO problem. Let me explain. I made the reservation and received the confirmation. The confirmation did not contain any address of the property or the door code. We were traveling in areas that had no internet access. Because I knew where the property was from a previous stay 21 years ago I arrived at the property with no idea how to get in. So back to Elk City I rode to get a wifi connection. This time when I logged in,...

"It was very rustic which we loved, there were no lights around outside so the stars were magnificent. Get your directions before you go because our GPS would not work due to lack of cell service in the area and we had to stop three times to get directions from locals. WE loved it and will be going back soon for sure. "

"My wife and I are in our 50s and had little issue. I looked at it as a high mountain lake, like I use to take my kids backpacking to except having a bed and toilet was great. Its also nice to come inside when bugs get a bit annoying, I didn’t think they were bad. Cabin was good for a couple and about two kids, you could get more but it would get tight. Fridge was cold and shower was hot, we didn’t use the TV or the generator, I would assume you would need the generator for watching movies....

"This lodge was the quintessential home to bring our children and grandchildren to celebrate Christmas and make family memories. So beautifully arranged in every room to invite people to share stories, play pool, cook, play cards, and laugh together. Our family of 15 felt as though they each had their own space plus ample opportunities to engage in activities without bothering others. We loved the large outdoor space where the littles learned to snowmobile, sled and play in the snow. It seemed as though we were “coming home”. We will be returning to this magical retreat."
