The front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was older, but very clean and practical. It had a microwave and a larger dorm sized refrigerator and good TV. The cost was fair and I appreciated the reasonable pet fee. My only suggestion is to leave a couple more towels in the room and while the air conditioner worked, the temperature was not really adjustable.
We have been on a cross country road trip and have mainly been camping. We have been hitting hotels along Route 66. This did its job. Warm shower and a bed. The sheets and towels all had stains. There was hair on the sheets that wasn’t ours when we pulled back the covers. The room never really cooled down with the ac unit in the room but it’s was cool enough to sleep in. It was easy and the aesthetic was cool.
We chose this hotel based on reviews but they clearly were not authentic. The place is in desperate need of maintenance. There were only 3 guests in the whole place (including us) and yet the front desk gal would not or could not figure out how to give us a bottom floor room with two beds. We used a third party app because it had a room with “a king bed and two twins” as an option. When we arrived, we were told they don’t have any rooms like that and we had to take the king bed on the 2nd floor. (No elevator and bad knees!)
The beds were pretty firm and towels were brown. It’s a decent location in a run down area right off the freeway but next to two other hotels. They will not last if they don’t invest in the place soon!
The rooms are out dated and the floors was very nasty and the heat in the room didn't work it blew out cold air. told the person upfront and all they did was laugh and so there is covers in there.
