"- very attentive owner - the mountain views are great from the property - at nights if the sky is clear you can watch the sky with all celestial objects - breakfast is served (oat meals, OJ, etc) - great high quality linens and bathroom accessories - no TV, so you can actually be amidst nature without any distractions - nearest town is Middlebury and Jeff and Mary Jane are very helpful in guiding you through planning the day "

"Booked this inn for two nights over Memorial Day weekend for two reasons: first, my husband was running in the Vermont City marathon, and second, the room featured a hot tub which my husband would use following the race. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating and they provided a delicious gourmet breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay again when we are back in the area. "

"We were looking for a B&B in the country with wonderful views, good breakfast and close to Whiteface Mountain. We certainly found that in Bark Eater Inn! Each morning we had a wonderful farm to table breakfast prepared by our friendly hosts, Meghan and Wendy, while enjoying wonderful views from any window. "Rose and Anatoly are interesting and friendly hosts at their well-maintained and comfortable B&B. Shelburne proved to be a great location for our 4-night stay: a quiet town offering both good access to Burlington and the amazing local Shelburne Museum, which is unlike anything we’ve encountered before in its diversity and quality of exhibits. Highly recommended!"
