"My family and I stayed 3 amazing nights in this beautiful apartment. The views were incredible. It was completely quiet. The apartment could have easily slept 8-9 people, so there was plenty of room. The full kitchen was a bonus, as we were able to cook meals instead of always having to go out. There’s easy access to the trail to the Upper Town, and it’s not that far from the entrance to the castle. I had some trouble checking in because my cell phone wasn’t working. "We loved this house - really nicely done and everything thought of. In delightful grounds, well cared for and charming. Our hosts were the nicest hosts ever, nothing was too much trouble. The only drawback for us was that public transport in this area is sparse and we didn’t have a car. We’d highly recommend this place despite that."

"As advertised, this is a 2-level, 2-bedroom apartment literally steps from the sea. A steady breeze blew over the Aegean as we stared at Monemvasia. Beds were comfortable. There are two bathrooms, and a kitchen we barely used. Nice outdoor seating and table. A great place to slow down and enjoy the view. Just a few things to know ... the beach is rocky and the waves 1-3 feet high so it's different from some beaches ... no wifi and cell service is spotty ... about 10 minute easy drive to...

"We had a very disappointing stay in this apartment in July. Both the apartment and the owner fell far below our expectations, especially given how expensive the place was. For details, read on. We had been assured by the owner that wonderful cross ventilation made air conditioning unnecessary, but this was definitely not the case in the summer heat. With just one lone air conditioner in a three bedroom house, the place was so unbearable that we had to move our kids to the LAS hotel across town...

"What a wonderful stay we had. It is out there in the countryside up in the mountains away from everything. Very easy to find though. Beautiful views. Filanthi provided so many treats for us. We had a small problem with the washer, but it was probably just our lack of knowledge of European washers. Would highly recommend!!"

"What a fabulous property in a stunning location! Just returned from a two week stay, and loved every minute. Located in a very rural setting on the outskirts of a small village, this is perfect for a getaway from it all de-stress; close enough to the town of Gefyra and adjacent Monemvasia to ensure all needs can be easily satisfied. "A great few days in a small village. The local people welcomed us and showed us around the area. The village is in the hills where dramatic scenery is around every corner. The little house overlooks the village and has two terraces one facing the morning sun and one the evening. The house is very well equipped and ideal for a couple or family but the access involves a fairly steep path and some steps. The beaches are approx 10 km away"
