"Location great in town. Lava fissures still fresh in the minds of residents, with evidence all around. Enjoyed an easy bfast before the 15 min ride to Blue Lagoon."

"This is the stay of a lifetime (especially since it is connected to the neighboring Blue Lagoon)—and it reflects a corresponding price tag. Sticker shock aside, they have thought of every manner to pamper guests and make them feel at home (and willing to part with more cash in purchasing their various products). The staff are very well trained in the art of hospitality and will go out of their way to be of assistance. This may not be an every few year stay but it is certainly is worth a checking of the box on one’s list to be done before one dies."

"The property was clean, rooms nice, spa options if you choose and nice breakfast. Views are limited, and if the winds are wrong the nearby Blue lagoon (free shuttle service for guests) has a significant sulfur smell. The ambiance and staff do everything to make your stay welcoming."

"Cozy beds, shared kitchen okay. There is free coffee but you have to make it yourself. The bedroom floor was dirty. They accepted check-in at 1AM during the night in a shared dorm. It says you can checked-in until 23:30 on the site but they don't respect this rule. Good if you are planning to come in late but for the other guests that's a disrespect."

"Hotel and staff were great and exactly what we expected. The only thing I suggest is lighting in parking lot. It was pitch black when we left in early morning to catch flight and literally couldn’t see anything."
