"Our stay at Battle Lake was perfect in this beautiful home. The location was very convenient with great access to groceries, restaurants, bait shop, etc. If there is one thing that could be improved it would be the kitchen pots and pans and utensils, they were very limited. Overall we were incredibly pleased with our stay and would absolutely go back!"

"Really nice property with fun games, hammock, kayak, fire ring (wood provided!). Spiral stairs and sloped rock path were a bit treacherous. Could use some additional kitchen utensils, like chef knife and metal spatula. Pontoon mentioned an ad not available. "

"I hosted a bachelorette party for my best friend with a total of 10 people. This house had more than enough space for everyone to stay and everyone to gather on both levels and outside! We rented a boat from Toontastic all weekend and really enjoyed ourselves! The house is a quick drive from Carlos creek winery and 20 minutes from Alexandria. In a quiet neighborhood on a dead end road so rarely we heard cars drive by! The bay we were in was quiet also. Will be recommending this house to friends...

"The property was beautiful, nice big back yard where we were able to play whiffle ball, the kids had a blast on the Lilly pad and slide. We were wishing there was a firepit as we were ready to do smores but that would not be a deal breaker if we were going to stay here again, the place is really nice! The communication was excellent!"

"We so enjoyed our stay at Sugar Sand Retreat! The location is ideal and the house was perfect for our group of 10 plus an occasional extra relative. There was plenty of space for our grandchildren ages 13 - 22 to spread out. We rented a pontoon and enjoyed Lake Ida very much!"

"We had an enjoyable stay at this property. It was stocked with appropriate basics and felt welcoming. We used the kitchen and dishes, pots/pans and utensils were usable and available. Internet was useable and able to stream a movie. Dock for a couple of fishing boats. Nice composite deck to sit outside. Nice outdoor fire 🔥 area. Can’t control those Minnesota mosquitoes. Nice to have paddle boards available when the wind calmed diwn. "
