"This was one of approximately eight hotels we stayed in during a cross-country road trip and was one of the most memorable stays for a couple of reasons. The "two hotels in one building" concept was one of those reasons. I think our stay coincided with some type of changeover of ownership so things were a little disjointed and off as far as locked outside doors, short-staffing, unmade beds on arrival, and not being initially sent to the room that was booked (specifically, "grab bars in shower"), and a shared pool area that was half covered with pigeon poop. We didn't use the pool so this didn't directly affect us, but I did feel for the other guests. All of this being said, it was still one of the THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED and CLEAN hotels that we stayed in. The atmosphere was serene/sophisticated and the restaurant/bar was well stocked with amazing food (hats off to the chef) and a wonderfully, friendly bartender/server. All of the staff we did encounter were friendly and more than helpful. Give this hotel some grace and a chance. I would not hesitate in staying here again."
