"The Hotel Simon is a charming property in the heart of the old city and a 2 minute walk to the cathedral. It’s a 300 year old building with beautiful marble floors and pillars and I felt I had gone back in time. All though old, it was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English. The surrounding area is very walkable with lots of shopping, food and bars. "

"Great location. The Arenal is close to everything and not as touristy as the Catedral’s area. The street is relatively calm for the area. Friendly, responsive and efficient staff. On the other hand we were disappointed by the conditions of the flat: smaller than anticipated, very basic and sometimes old furnitures (beds are uncomfortable). "
