"The property was rented out to another family by the owner but I got charged anyways and no one told me until I got there, no wonder directions weren’t accurate , called several given numbers and even called the owner number and won’t answer, turn phone off. I don’t recommend this scammer!"

"This is not a super high-end property, or one that I would recommend if you anticipate a ton of downtime at home. If you plan to be out for meals and to visit nearby sites, this works perfectly for a home base and place to crash. The neighborhood is great, the main plaza is in walking distance, as are a bunch of shops and restaurants. I’d recommend it for the location alone."

"The house was beautiful and cosy, 3 min walking distance from the Convent and 20 min walking distance from the main square. The walk is pleasant with cosy bars, restaurants and boutiques throughout. Communication with Jill was easy and helpful. Beautiful property that we highly recommend and would definitely stay again there!"

"Our only wish for this stay would have been to stay longer. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We had a bit of trouble figuring out the stovetop but Kenji our host was quick to send instructions. He was very understanding when arrived early from Tulum (we forgot about the time change!) and let us drop our things off while we checked out Ek Balam. Thank you Kenji!"

"Das Haus liegt am Ende des Dorfes mitten im Dschungel. Arturo ist ein sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Wer Mexiko abseits des Tourismus erleben möchte ist hier genau richtig. Ek Balam und die Cenote sind nur wenige Minuten entfernt. In dem Dorf mit seinen freundlichen Bewohner haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus selber ist sehr schön und da es etwas abseits steht, hat man das Gefühl ganz allein im Dschungel zu sein."

"The owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfect :) had everything you needed. There was also a closeline out the back door for drying clothes that was really handy (And hammock hooks in the room which was cool). The yard is beautiful and has tons of greenery, birds and gheckos. Frida Kahlo the cat that lives there is very friendly and cute. :) The door also had multiple lock options and felt very safe, and the property was only a 10 minute walk from the city center. "
