"Wow such a stunning location right on lake Luzern. We had lakefront room with balcony. Beautiful location about 15 minutes drive outside of downtown Luzern. It was too cold to use the pool but they have a nice relaxing wellness center with sauna. They have an outdoor hot tub but apparently you had to reserve in advance (which was not explained when we made reservation) so unfortunately we were not able to use. "The front desk staff could not be more delightful. Interacted with ARod on several occasions and he was genuine and totally accommodating to all of our needs. We stayed for three days two nights and the temperature in Lucerne was over 90°. Little stuffy in the room however figure out how to manage the cool nights to make sleeping very comfortable. The hotel does not offer air-conditioning and if that is a must on your list then you may consider other arrangements. ARod and management provided fans to keep air circulating and when the temperature drop down to 67° at night we were able to capture a great deal of comfort and even needed to use blankets at night. The breakfast they offer is more than generous and actually a tremendous perk and great value. We definitely stay at a Hotel Royal Luzerne again now that I understand how to manage the temperature if it is warm outside."
