Fantastic location for us- right off Waverley train station; yet was quiet at night. So much within walking distance. They take your luggage prior/after check out. Friendly staff and delicious toasties/VERY well made drinks at their bar. (Espresso martini & Moscow mule) - Very clean room and comfortable linens. Love the later checkout time.
Would recommend Pep & Fodder blocks away for breakfast.
The room was spotless, staff were very welcoming and accommodating. When checking in we were told we’d for a free upgrade to a room with a nice view, which was so unexpected. Stunning view of the old town and the castle.
We had a comfortable stay. The room was a bit smaller to what I thought I would be getting. The WiFi was not secured. We parked at St James Quarter for 3 days and it was £45 with the discount. The staff there were friendly.
Comfortable and clean hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Bar and lounge area bright and comfortably furnished. Excellent location on Princes Street. Basic but comfortable and clean room/bathroom
Clean, nice hotel with a good breakfast and perfect location. You are in the heart of it all at a reasonable price. Room was a bit tight but what you would expect in a large European city unless you want to pay luxury prices or stay further out. Staff was great
Die Lage war perfekt für die Erkundung der Stadt zu Fuß, das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber, das Bett bequem und das Frühstück bot eine große Auswahl. Das Hotel ist absolut zu empfehlen.

Staff/Booking/Communications
I booked directly through Expedia for this stay. No issues were encountered on arrival and staff graciously accommodated my early arrival and were quite friendly. They also helped me with a WIFI connection issue, as well as directing me to where to grab an airport shuttle bus. They were always pleasant when I passed by.
Accessibility of Facility
I was able to take an elevator up to reception and was given a room on that floor. Aside from moving through a fire door with my clunky bags, I found the facility overall easy for me to navigate. YMMV with mobility devices. Shower was step in.
Room
For the pricing and location, this room was alright. I constantly struggled to enter my room due to an apparent faulty maglock and informed staff on departure. The room shows age/wear and could use a refresh. The toiletries were not great. I left behind conditioner and they claimed I left nothing so staff pilfered it/threw out an expensive silicone travel bottle. Temperature control was not great – I prefer a cool room and the options were freezing or oven, with no in between. I woke up repeatedly, miserably hot. Staff movement in the hallway in the morning also woke me. Do not recommend lower floors for light sleepers.
Bathroom/Toiletries
Toiletry quality was very low, bring your own. The shower had decent water pressure and good room to navigate/bring out belongings.
Area Safety/Features/Location
The hotel was centrally located in a prime area!
The room was clean but in poor condition. My shower head sprayed at the based of what should have been a rain shower handle Leaving me sprayed in the face and unable to direct water. One light did not work at all and the heat would not come on at all. The bed was hard as a rock and the windows were thin so road noise talk and laughter were heard clearly until 2-230 am. The breakfast was lovely and they do store bags However I would never stay here again
We had a wonderful stay. The area around the hotel couldn’t be more convenient, when you walk outside you’re right by so many beautiful sights like the Princes Street gardens & Ross fountain, Scott monument, as well as the National Galleries and Calton Hill. There’s tons of shopping on Princes St and the surrounding area, as well as restaurants and cafes, and a few grocery stores. The tram is only a few minutes walk if needed - it was super convenient to take the tram to and from the airport since it was so close, and Edinburgh Waverly is right by the hotel which is convenient for anyone vacationing and travelling via train. Everything else is only a short walk away, and it’s a walk you’ll enjoy since the sights are so beautiful. Even with being so close to so many things, it was quiet inside at night time and we got a great sleep. The only downside for us was not having a minifridge in the room, would love if that was added! We got amazing service from the employees while we were there who also arranged an early check in for us which we really appreciated.
