I’d stay here again, but don’t come with high expectations. There will not be a mint on your pillow, or even someone to restock your towels if you stay more than 1 night. However, we were also there during a holiday weekend, so it was a full house and busy. ((We had a last minute booking, and again, I’d stay there again.))
The property is definitely aged, but in a VERY convenient spot. Walmart is across the street, less than 10 minutes away from the lake, university, and UH-mazing lakeside bagel shop. ((Highly recommended!!))
Bedsheets are not pristine white (random stains), our room furniture had toddler pen-artwork, and the parking lot has loose gravel in the back. So loose my young 20 something brother and I (17 years older) both slipped getting out of our vehicles.
Staff were very nice and welcoming. Breakfast looked good, but we passed for the bagel shop all weekend.
I’d stay again based on the convenience of the location, but the hotel’s only purpose (for us) was to clean up and sleep.
