"The hotel is dated and needs an uplift. It’s a shame with it having so much character but I expect if it was it would have cost us more to stay there. Towels were nice and white. It’s a great location even though we were only staying one night as we’d driven from Devon en-route to north Wales. The only problem that could arise is the parking (£5 a day) is very limited! We arrived around 3pm to find 2 spaces which were quickly filled. We would stay there again"

"We liked the outdoor patio and the restaurant. The staff were wonderful. Les pulled a red cord in the bathroom thinking it was to vent the room after a shower but it was for "emergencies". That should have been explained or at least documented in the room."

"Staff were lovely and helpful, as the building has such wonderful high ceilings i felt the cold at the night time so i told reception and bless him within 10 mins he was knocking at my door with a plug in heater for my rroom. The pool was lovely steam room was on point and the jacuzzi was fab. i know they building is old and it is kept beautifully although i really think bathrooms could do with updating and maybe the windows ESPECIALLY for the winter months as i was quite cold and it mild! rooms had new bottled water and milk and teas topped up put in every day new towels also. The only thing that i didnt like was it wasnt able to be my own choice if they come into the room or not, no lock box/safe in room for valuables and i think if there isnt any notice to put on the door to say if you want to have cleaners or privacy i think its somthing that should be considered. Overall i had a lovely few days out the way and some peace. Breakfast a little pricey but room prices were fair. i did leave some belongings in the room and i phoned up they said they were going to get back to me, i know 100% i left few things so hope they get back to me on here now ive messaged."
