In the winter, the stillness is profound. The parking lot at Thumpertown is empty, and the only sound is your footsteps along the flats. Gulls drift overhead, hoping for leftover treats that summer no longer brings. The icy breeze bites gently at your cheeks, but the beauty is staggering—especially at sunset, when the sky blooms into outrageous reds, pinks, and chartreuse that you’ll swear only exist here. You return to The Alpine with sand on your boots and the kind of calm that settles in the bones. The couch is deep and cozy, the Wi-Fi is strong, and your evening awaits—games, streaming, dinner, and a cup of tea on the screened porch.
