"We rented a car and drove from Siracusa, with stops in surprisingly beautiful Noto and historic Modica before arriving in Ragusa, one of the most beautifully situated cities anywhere! I chose the Itria Palace due to it's location and with our having a car, parking was an issue. Right next to the hotel is a free public parking lot with plenty of spaces. And, there is a ramp to the hotel's lower entrance. We were housed in the hotel's annex located across the street, which is lovely, the rooms...

Dirty room, broken toilet, disgusting shower, no air conditioning, extremely noisy location made it impossible to sleep. Ruined the first day of our Italy vacation. "We really enjoyed our stay here - it's a beautiful setting high up in the hills. I would recommend having a car, however, as we had to walk a fair bit to get to any shops or restaurants (besides the lovely pizzeria by the apartments, which wasn't always open). Lovely pool! Spacious apartment, but it wasn't cleaned once during our 5 days there. Kitchenette but limited utensils (e.g. no bowls, no cups). Besides this it was a lovely place which we enjoyed staying in at the start of our holiday"
