As the sun rises above the horizon, a new day calls you outside to the enchanting water and beaches on the shores of Lake Huron. Although a small town, East Tawas has a very lively downtown area with many small specialty shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as a movie theater. Tawas Point State Park is 2-1/2 miles away to hike and enjoy unique bird sitings. Enjoy biking the shoreline to Tawas Bay, hiking or cross-country skiing at nearby Tawas Point State Park, Lumberman’s Monument, and Iargo Springs and Corsair Trails (10 miles West). Enjoy kayaking on Lake Huron or the AuSable River (13 miles N), and standup paddle boarding, kite boarding, and boogie boarding offered in the waters and at the beaches of Lake Huron at Tawas Point State Park.
