"Lovely spacious home, on a beautiful lot! Water equipment was so nice to utilize. The deck was by far our favorite place to gather. Only issue was the keypad not working, but Amy was quick to help navigate the issue.Would love to stay again!"
Family Cabin with all the views on Big Sandy
10/10 Excellent
"We booked this cabin for a family week long getaway, and it was perfect! The house was clean and had all the amenities as you could ever need. Great beach for the kids. One of my favorite things was the huge porch to sit and watch the lake. Oh, and there were two eagles with a nest right outside the cabin, and we could sit inside and watch them hanging out in the trees. We loved it! Highly recommend!"
Big Sandy Lodge and Resort Lakefront Lodge - spacious-luxurious
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was up to par. Really enjoyed the pool and hot tub."
The Retreat at Big Sandy Lake
10/10 Excellent
"This is an absolutely beautiful property. We had a wonderful vacation with our children, their families AND our two dogs. There were 7 adults and 5 children (ages 7 to 16) in our party - we all had plenty of room for sleeping, playing games & relaxing in the many different areas of the house. The white sand beach was amazing ... the screened-in porch unbelievable.Thank you to our hosts Steven & Jonathan - you have a great property!"
Mille Lacs sugar sand retreat
10/10 Excellent
"The view is amazing. The lake is warm and shallow as far out as we could go, and not busy at all. Great for kids playing in the water! The house is beautifully updated, and the hosts have thought of everything to make it comfortable. Do bring your own coffee and food. The grocery stores are driveable, but you might not want to leave once you arrive! We had a lovely last few days here as a family before big kids head back to college. Enjoyed the sunsets and the firepit, the kayaking, swimming, and all around quiet retreat."
Classic MN Up North Lake House w/Sauna
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at this cute cabin. It was perfect for our family of 4. Overall it was very clean and well stocked with needed items. The bunk beds were perfect for our 7 & 14 year old and selection of games and books for was a welcomed surprise. The hosts were also very responsive to any questions. The view from the cabin is awesome and although there isn’t a “sandy beach” the water is fairly shallow off the dock with the lake bottom hard sand and a few rocks. With water shoes it was prefect for a mission mat, launching the stand up paddle boards, and just general floating/relaxing in the water. Our boys caught a ton of fish and the lake is perfect for quiet paddle boarding or fishing and lake sports (skiing, tubing, etc.) We were able to launch our boat at the public launch and tie off on the dock. I would note if you have a deep V fiberglass direct shaft boat you might want to check the water level for not the public access launch and dock depth. Overall it was a great stay and was perfect for our up north family vacation!"
Big Sandy Lodge and Resort
8/10 Good
"Everything was clean and orderly. The room was smaller than a hotel room. More like a bedroom. The bed was very soft which for me was very uncomfortable. I had trouble turning on the television. After doing some troubleshooting I called the front desk and got voicemail. It said the pool and hot tub were closed due to construction. It also said they would call me back. They called an hour later and came up immediately. She got the tv on. After she left I still couldn’t get the remote to work and finally figured out that it was set up for voice commands and most of the buttons were useless. Anyway, while I was walking down a hallway I saw the pool and noticed people swimming. It was evening the day before I checked out so I didn’t get to use the pool. I was able to relax, though so I did accomplish what I went for."
