"Rustic, but very cute and clean. The temperature in the room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean had everything we needed. The area was quiet and it looked like the common areas and restaurants were more updated and had a nice fire pit. We stayed just one night on the way to a soccer game in Petoskey."

"Room was clean, back entryway was not well maintained with weeds over sidewalk. Back stairwell was dirty with crackers outside my room door for 4 days. Breakfast was good but the same, no variety for the 4 days we were there. Construction workers leaving every day at 0445 slamming there room doors, the exit doors, and there car doors and then backing up there vehicles with backup beeping. Not very relaxing. Pool and surrounding area needed maintenance. Staff nice and helpful."

"If you are looking for a rustic, eclectic place with lots of outdoor space, beds for 18 individual people, a great collection of vinyl records, minimal plans to cook during your stay, and easy access to the lake, this might be your place. But if you are looking for modern space with central air conditioning, a dishwasher, washer and dryer, good lighting, and a large dining space for your group, maybe keep searching.While Nate was very quick to respond to our needs (drinking water, more window units for the main and middle houses that only had one each for the upstairs of the main and the entire middle house), the heat in those spaces tainted the week for several of us. The oven in the guest cottage was unusable because it overheated and wouldn’t adjust. The claw foot tub in the main house was scary to use because it’s not flat and surrounded by curtains and nothing to grab if you slip. The property is pretty and we enjoyed the space, especially the beach. It’s very convenient to the ferry, which you can walk on for free to go across for a meal at The Landing. We’ve rented several times on VRBO and been lucky. This wasn’t really one of those times for us."
