Our room (Alice) was more a suite, with two bedrooms, a large bathroom with both shower and soaking tub and a small central sun room with tables and chairs. "We stayed at Anchor cottage for a short break, the cottage was lovely and warm for a cold January stay. We enjoyed watching the chain-link Bridge and being winter with the windows shut, the noise did not disturb us with the exception of the fog horn early one morning! The cottage had a dated feel and could do with an upgrade, the bedrooms sparse and a little cramped, especially the bunk room. We were attending a sailing event in West Cowes and the chain ferry is quickly accessible from here. It was disappointing though to be able to see East Cowes marina but to be blocked off by a big black iron fence, the walk round to access the marina and the lifeboat pub seemed tedious when you could see if from the house.
