"The charm and character of this property, its staff and patrons should be considered a national treasure. Honestly the Ostrich was chosen for location to Heathrow and its reasonable price. The history, the pub atmosphere, the food and drink made for a wonderful experience. I would recommend anyone who wants to experience real “ London” check this place out."

"It was fantastic! Honestly I cannot fault it, the only thing I’d suggest is a thin mattress topper so that you can’t feel the buttons on the mattress. Staff were lovely, everything in the room you could want. I appreciated the little bottle of semi skimmed milk in the fridge, and bottles of water!"

Missed out on eating there in the evening as kitchen closes earlier on a Sunday. Great bonus is the free parking round the back if you are staying there. "

"Stayed two nights for a long weekend, perched on the edge of Highclere Castle for our visit. Quite close to the A34, but even though our room was on that side we had no traffic noise. Nice little room upstairs in the cottage next door. Breakfast was included and that was excellent. Also had two evening meals, sample photos attached. Chef is very talented. Would happily return."

"We booked for an overnight stay at a wedding. Room was beautiful, attached to a lovely pub, and the breakfast was superb as well. The best part of the stay, however, was the lovely staff! Friendly and helpful - they delayed breakfast for half an hour because my husband was stuck in traffic. Thank you for a fantastic stay"
