Eardington station on the Severn Valley Railway. Open in celebration of its 150th birthday. A dedicated group of volunteers are quietly restoring the station, which one day may regularly reopen for special events. 'Refreshments' included a spectacular coffee and walnut cake and a very acceptable cup of coffee. There was also a small display of vintage vehicles to add to the interest.

Eardington Halt, Severn Valley Railway 1997. View southward, towards Bewdley: ex-GWR Hartlebury - Bewdley - Bridgnorth - Shrewsbury line, now the celebrated heritage Severn Valley Railway, Kidderminster - Bewdley - Bridgnorth. Eardington Halt was closed with the whole line on 9/9/63. On acquisition of the line in 1970 the SVR used the Halt - but only until 1983, although the siding was kept in use for storing some of their collection of goods vehicles, as seen here. More recently, Eardington Halt has become a stopping-place for some Specials running on the SVR.
