    Vorab wurde von mir eine tägliche Kaution in Höhe von 50€ pro Tag verlangt, worüber ich im voraus nicht informiert wurde. Als ich diese im kompletten nichr sofort zahlen konnte, wurde mir fast der CheckIn verweigert. Von weitem sah alles super aus, jedoch beim näheren Betrachten sah man, dass das Hotel doch schon ein bisschen ist die Jahre gekommen war, besonders bei dem Teppichboden der oft Flecken aufwies und sich durchs ganze Haus zog. Auch hat mir die Bettwäsche gar nicht gefallen, da sie sehr kühl und ich teilweise nachts gefroren habe. Unter anderem hatten wir in unserer Badewanne am Ausguss viele Kratzer, die auf den ersten Blick aussahen wie Haare die noch drin lagen. Positiv ist mir dad Personal aufgefallen dass sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich war.

    Would not rate this a 4 star hotel - more a 3. A bit old and worn out. Most staff friendly and service minded, but their room service is a horrible: No minibar, not even water in the room. As many rooms it was warm and dry and I was told drink could be ordered by room service, as there was no minibar. Tried calling for a bottle of water, but after waiting on the line got reception. Reception sounded irritated and and a teaching tone explained I got reception and forwarded call to the bar. Waited another 1 min, then was directed to automatically to reception.     Ich habe vier Doppelzimmer gebucht und alle haben schlecht geschlafen, die Fenster sind nicht zu öffnen und die Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht wirklich, die Zimmer waren alle zu warm. Keine übliche Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer, diese muss man sich unten in der Rezeption holen. An der Bar sind die Getränke lieblos und extrem überteuert.

    Die Eingangshalle verspricht viel. Das Zimmer ist soweit auch in Ordnung, allerdings stank es im Bad ganz widerlich. So sehr, dass man sich auch nirgends anders im Zimmer noch wohl gefühlt hat.

    Sehr schönes Hotel mit wirklich ziemlich großen Zimmer. Wir hatten zwei Einzelbetten die jeweils ungefähr 1,40 breit waren - sehr bequem. Das Einzige was uns gestört hat war das veraltete Badezimmer. Es passt leider garnicht zum Rest des Zimmers und sollte mal saniert werden.

    Haben 3 Zimmer für 9 Leute gebucht. War alles unkompliziert und schnell abgewickelt. Zimmer waren sauber, die Lage ist in Ordnung. Einzige Manko: Wir hätten uns über 1- 2 Flaschen Wasser im Zimmer gefreut.

    Was good but not a “renaissance”

    It was a good overall experience but concerning the value of money , everything had an extra charge (breakfast, parking and even the WiFi ) and the hotel decoration and renovation was not on the level of “renaissance hotels” , I’ve tried renaissance in different cities and the one in Düsseldorf was not up to the standards of the renaissance inside and outside the room
