"The house was not clean and old. Lots of spiderwebs and spiders inside the house. It can be a beautiful place with the castle and all but it’s not well maintained. There is a lot weeds and the playground equipment are defective. The pool is loose at the edges."

The full house is not together but in 2 different section bit detached to each other. This means that everyone cannot stay together in the same house, which was not expected by us and was not even clear in the description of the property.2. The property is in middle of nowhere. "The property was lovely, very quiet and stunning views. Jean - Pierre and Nadine were very helpful. Fresh bread and croissants were available daily and were very nice. Pool and hot tub were very welcome after a hard day's exploring the Peri- Nord. The Gite was excellent for people with a disability, very accessible with wide corridor and wide doorways. In all I would fully recommend this Gite for a stay and would love to return in the future."

Le fait de devoir sortir dans la rue pour accéder au jardin n’est pas idéal mais c’est bien précisé dans l’annonce. Un peu trop sur la rue à notre goût mais les nuisances sonores restent acceptables."

Le logement était propre, chaleureux et très bien équipé. Les chambres et les salles de bains étaient spacieuses. La maison est bien située avec plein d'activités à quelques minutes de voiture (randonnées, château, villages,...). Nous reviendrons avec plaisir."

"Imposing Manor House set within extensive open parkland at the edge of the village. Large bedroom with modern en-suite and smart new linen. Graceful sun-terrace and well stocked library. Lovely Swimming Pool exclusive to residents. Chateau de Villars is nonetheless an upmarket Bed&Breakfast (Chambre d'Hotes); no catering apart from continental style breakfast and should not be marketed on a par with a similarly priced Hotel which would normally come with some level of all day service. Could definitely benefit from better signage/directions on entry and clean-up around the pool together with the addition of shower and changing facilities. "
