This amazing open floor plan is perfect for 8 adults in the main house with 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, 3 fireplaces.
The main house is Limited to 8 adults and 1 small child.

We Do Not allow Smoking or Pets in our Home or on our Property. Do not book our home if anyone in your party Smokes or Vapes.
For larger groups There's an Optional Guest House, with Queen Sleeper Sofa + 2 twin beds, and a Full Bath! This would allow a total of 12 guest. The Guesthouse is $169.00 per night.( Holidays rate $190.00 per night). With the guest house it’s a total of 5 bedrooms & 4 1/2 baths

You will be Living the Dream in our Beautiful Executive Estate home! It has that feel of warmth and charm of a 5 star hotel! This is not a typical rental, but Our Personal Home. With 3 Fireplaces, Hot Tub, Air conditioning and Gorgeous Views!
Start your day with a steaming cup of brew overlooking the beauty of the valley. Since the home is just 5 minutes from downtown Durango, you can spend your days exploring Durango (take the Trolley into town); or hike our 42 wooded acres.
When evening comes, you can kick back on the expansive decks or in the hot tub, in awe of the breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the Animas Valley, Red Cliffs and the Animas Mountains. Enjoy the romance of the steam train as it chugs by in the distance, with the mountains as your backdrop.

The Master bedroom boast its own private deck and gas fireplace! Also the 2nd Master bedroom on the main level has its own fireplace, patio and private entrance! The furniture, and all furnishing in our home are new or less than 8 yrs. old.
We know you and your family/guests will enjoy the vaulted ceilings, wire brushed knotty pine doors, hardwood floors, complete surround sound system, temperature controlled wine cooler and all the amenities (even a high efficiency washer and 2 dryers) . For our winter guests, our 2 car garage is heated.

Those 42 acres back up to 1275 acres of BLM land, and if you’re into rock climbing, they include elevation changes of 1,000 feet with some sheer rock faces.
You can also enjoy family game night with an Foosball table, Air Hockey table, Ping pong table, poker table top and many other games.
Be prepared to enjoy every aspect of Durango from this perfect location!
July 2018 we installed Air Conditioning, and new living room furniture in the main house.
July 2019 we added Air Conditioning to the Guesthouse.
November 2024, Newly remodeled kitchen.

We spent a fabulous holiday at this bright and amazing Colorado home. We truly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful space. The views were breathtaking and we were able to enjoy all the comforts of home and then some. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to prepare a complete thanksgiving dinner. The towels were soft and the linen was downy fresh. Our group consisted of a couple, a family of four with 2 small children and Granny; there was plenty of space for everyone.

The house was in a great location only five minutes from Durango that you felt like you were away from the town. The views were amazing. This house is gorgeous. Set up on the mountain with incredible views and an amazing hot tub. The bedrooms and bathrooms plus decks were above and beyond what we expected. Very comfortable and perfect location

The house is spacious and suited 3 generations well. This is our third summer in Durango and our favorite home. The location is close to town but feels remote. It is close to all the activities and restaurants. The kids loved watching the chipmunks. I miss it already. Dennis is wonderful to communicate with.

Absolutely perfect!

I have nothing but glowing compliments for both Dennis and his house!Dennis is an amazing host. Everything about the property, it's location, and the amenities were communicated clearly and ahead of time. He offered recommendations for hikes and dinning that were perfect for our family (including our three small children). The location of the property could not have been more convenient, just a few minutes from downtown Durango, and was the perfect hub for a trip full of hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, and more. The views from the deck were picturesque. The house had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable.

Spring Break 2025 Visit

We had a great time staying at the house, while three families (12 people total) vacationed for a ski-based spring break.The house was in a great location, just north of the town of Durango and the house was 20-25 minutes away from Purgatory resort. The house had great amenities and kept everyone entertained with the hot tub, games, table games for kids (air hockey, foosball, ping pong), etc. The kitchen was big enough so multiple people could be cooking at the same time. Magic in Durango

Our group of eight was celebrating our son's 50th birthday - Polar Express. skiing and great restaurants in Durango. The host, Dennis, right after the booking, gave us great ideas about restaurants and things to do. Excellent communication continued up to the trip and during our stay. The house was perfect - location and appointments, beautiful views of the valley. I especially enjoyed the train passing below with steam rising through the trees. Dennis communicated proactively, checking on our needs and reminding us of amenities we may have overlooked or forgotten about. Due the cold weather we did not use the hot tub or the patio. This is a fantastic house in a superb location with an excellent host; we will be back, maybe for a month in the summer of 2027.

Beautiful Spacious Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this great home. It is just north of Durango in a peaceful neighborhood. Great views of the mountains and the train comes very near three times a day, which is a bonus to hear the train whistles. I have zero complaints about this home. Dennis is an amazing host who communicates quickly with any questions. I really appreciate his warm hospitality. We will be back on our next visit to Durango!

Delightful Get-away

Celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our sons and a niece. The men fished with Cutbank Outfitters and had their best day ever. The rest of us visited Mesa Verde and were awed. Perfect Getaway in the San Juan Mountains

Beautiful location!

This beautiful house was perfect for our first family trip to Durango. Very clean, comfortable and the close access to downtown was a big plus! The kitchen has a breathtaking view as well as being very well stocked. We were easily able to make family meals. The bedrooms and bathrooms worked great for our family of 7 and were very comfortable. We enjoyed the deck with its beautiful view and hearing the famous train pass by was fun for all of us. Everyone had fun searching for lizards among the rocks, birdwatching, and seeing the chipmunks. After a day of hiking and exploring, the hot tub was popular. Our next trip to Durango will definitely include staying in this home again! We appreciate the fantastic communication with the owner about our stay in the house and about the area. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Fantastic vacation, fantastic property!
