The home will be listed for sale March 6, 2026 and showings may be scheduled during your stay. There are only occasional showings, but not very many given the market is very slow. If you do not want to allow showings, then please do not book this property. We will apply a $100 discount per showing, if we need to show the home during your stay.

Our 4-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom, 3,800 square foot home, which was custom-built in 2011, features high-end interior finishes and furnishings that you would expect in a luxurious mountain retreat. No details were spared in the construction of this home, making for a one-of-a-kind guest experience. From the home's dedicated wine room, top-of-the-line appliances, and a built-in coffee maker to its hardwood floors throughout and multiple gas fireplaces, this home is sure to impress!

Our home's location is equally ideal! It is located directly across from Purgatory Ski Resort and is 24 miles from downtown Durango (less than a 30-minute drive). Enjoy the convenience of being at the ski resort while having the privacy and additional space of a house. The resort is the perfect all-season playground offering a wealth of winter and summer activities for all ages. Recreational amenities include a private hot tub, dedicated game room with a pool table, and bar area.

At 8,900 feet elevation, in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, the views from this home are unbeatable! Engineer mountain is prominently featured in the view from the main living space. The home backs up to National Forest, offering privacy and seclusion while lounging in the outdoor living area and enjoying the private hot tub. The house is located adjacent to the Purgatory Flats trailhead (one of the best hikes in the area) and overlooks Twilight Lake (Paddle Boarding, fishing, etc.).

The home is pet friendly (1 dog only max 25 pounds) and the pet fee is $40/day (Max $250).

Book 7+ nights and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Does not apply during Christmas/New Years).

For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc) activities.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer
travel insurance.
