"From the very warm welcome to the chatty farewell, everyone we encountered was super friendly and polite. The room was secure, clean and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice to suit everyone. Evening menu has a limited choice, but food good. The hotel has all the old creaking charm you could want, with lots of nooks and crannies to tuck yourselves into for a drink. Cracking beer garden with a castle view. Parking round the corner in the public car park unless you’re lucky enough to get one in the market square high street. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to visit again in the autumn. "
