"The night staff and dinner ataff were amazing. The morning staff was not their at 8 am, as stated, ao we did not get breakfast before leaving. The morning manager waa rude via messaging and called us liars even though we were there at 8 am and knocked. "

"First time stay for three nights while visiting family. Vert clean throughout the hostel and updated to a high standard. Very nice ensuite shower room with towels provided which is good so you don't have to pack any. Comfortable bunk bed in the twin room we were in. It's a tiny hostel with only three bedrooms and the communal kitchen dinner but it has all the basics you need. It's also safe and secure because of the entry codes to the hostel itself as well as your room. It is dog friendly because one of the other guests had their sweet dog staying so that's a huge plus if you're looking for accommodation that accepts dogs. Hostel is right in Wigtown's main High Street with convenience of shops, cafes, pub etc but it was still quiet. Parking is not a problem on the High Street .Would definitely stay there again."

"The hosts were great with communication. The check in instructions were easy to follow. A "user guide" would be a good addition to explain electric fire, heat, etc. And, toconfirm that i was in the right lodge and hadnt accidentally broken into someone else's bit!"

"This two-day break was perfect. Although the rooms and bathrooms were quite small, the space was cleverly utilised. We were fortunate with the beautiful weather, which allowed us to enjoy hiking along the coastline before retuning to sunset dinners. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was spotlessly clean. "

"Had a great little break here in Portpatrick, helped by sunny weather. We were in one of the front facing rooms on the top floor. As advertised, the ceiling was low - sloped into the eaves at one side of the bed, so my wife had to duck a little when going to bed, but main part of room was over 6 feet, so fine for this 5'10" bloke. This may seem less than ideal, but the sitting area at the front of the room, had fab panoramic views of the whole Portpatrick harbour and beyond, which more than made up for ceiling height. Besides there are also rooms on first floor, which judging from hall height must be at least 10 feet. Dog friendly hotel, which is another plus. Anyway... great view, food was also very good. And singer on Saturday sounded good, although I didnt go into main bar area during the set, as would have been too much for doggo 😀. "
