"The room was huge, and the king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. those were the only positives of our stay. The property is outdated and desperately needs renovation. The walls were scratched, the baseboards were deteriorating, and there was a terrible smell throughout the hallways. Cleanliness was a serious concern. The property appeared poorly maintained and inadequately cleaned. There was visible evidence suggesting a mice infestation, particularly in the entrance hallway near the...

"Needs an overhaul, ripped shades and scuffed paint, but clean and depending on what you need very good location"

"The Wavertree Hotel is a great place to stay. The hotel is owned by a lovely family, who are welcoming, hospitible, and friendly. This is an ideal place to stay if you are travelling solo. The neighbourhood of Streatham is lovely, safe, and very accessible to public transportation, including the train. There are some wonderful shops, restaurants, and bars in the neighbourhood, as well as several grocery stores. The Wavertree Hotel has a full kitchen, so you can make some great meals and save...

"My room was a single, but well big enough for me. My bed was a small double and so comfortable. Plenty Hot water for showers and the room was very well heated. I enjoyed the meals I had too"

"Such a good hotel with reasonable price"

"Soup downstairs was delicious as was their gf bread. Man who checked me in helped me bring my bag up those steep stairs! Room was cute. Loved the giant (fancy) bottle of water, oatmeal…(too bad I couldn’t try the muffins as they have gluten) but what nice unexpected complimentary snacks. Could be loud potentially, it is above a pub, not an issue the night I was there"

"Always nice staying here, great value, parking, friendly staff. It's the perfect place to stay for business trips."

"The main issue with the property was that the basement room smelled SO strongly of mildew and the stairs to get down there felt so steep and unsafe that one couple in our group ended up booking a hotel to accommodate themselves. This was truly more like a converted crawl space than a bedroom. In addition, the sofa bed in the living room was very uncomfortable, even for a sofa bed. The host did not have any location recommendations as she shared she has not lived in the area for 10 years, and...

"I only stayed for a night but the room was clean and comfortable and had everything I would need."

"Firstly, location was excellent- right next to DLR station. I was going to a show at the O2 and it was perfect for that. Also, Deptford station is only a 10 minute walk and from there it is a 5 minute train ride direct into London Bridge. The studio was very compact, and much more so than the images on the website suggested. Once I found all the kitchen stuff - cutlery in drawer inside under-sink cupboard and saucepans in the bottom of the wardrobe, then it was all fine and functional. ...
