"Bright friendly welcome with tea and biscuits. The gardens are extensive and lots to interest. The house feels like a medieval manor although is C19 Tudor revival. The bedroom had everything needed and mercifully no television, was clean and welcoming. Al in all a lovely stay with a lovely host."

"This was our second stay at the Sawmills, the staff , the room and the service continue to be excellent. We will continue to stay at the Sawmills when next return to North Devon for its location and for its value for money. Only criticism would be to offer a non cooked breakfast such as porridge or cereal plus orange juice , evening meals could be improved to offer fresh season vegetables rather than chips. A most enjoyable stay."

"A very popular pub with excellent accommodation The whole outdoors dining / seating area is beautifully kept with lots of plants / flowers making the area more attractive The breakfast menu is immense, The American breakfast beat me and that’s saying something, well cooked, plenty on the late and well presented 👏"
