"We had a great stay here. Quaint ski cabin with ample fun tucked away bunks for kids. This would be such a fun place to stay for two adult couples and 4plus kids ranging ages 5-12. With older teens the bunks are a bit small but the couch is the perfect place to unwind after a big ski day!"

"A very charming cabin with a neat family history. The house been decorated and renovated tastefully. It was perfect for a short getaway from Portland. My favorite things about the house... The upstairs bedroom and its view of the big cathedral window and the red lift chair. A rustic and small but a well equipped kitchen. "we loved the Barlow cabin. Unfortunately, our second day there was a power outage from government camp all the way to Sandy, and we had to check out early. Carol and the team were great and very communicative the whole time we hope to come back up as soon as we can make it"

Unfortunately, there was a power outage in Government Camp coupled with subzero temperatures so we had to cut our stay short, but we look forward to returning next year."

"The other reviews I saw gave this place a one star, this place was actually really nice and I don't really know why they thought it deserved such a low review. I only had to drop my review of it from 5 star because when I purchased my reservation it had 'Hot Tub' listed in the listing, which I am to gather from my conversation with the owner was a mistake. In any case, TL;DR, this place is very nice but does not have a hot tub but was listed with one when I made my reservation."

"Beds on top floor, bath on 1st floor with steep stairway in between was a bit difficult. Fireplace damper did not seem to work properly and could not get it resolved. had power outage and left one day early due to weather concerns."
